Providers Partner Stephen G. Diamantoni was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He attended Lehigh University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Premedical Science in 1980. In 1982 he graduated medical school from Hahnemann University receiving his medical degree. His resident was done at the Family Practice at Lancaster General Hospital in 1985. Dr. Diamantoni has been certified with the American Board of Family Practice since 1985. He was recertified in 1992, 1999, and again in 2004. He also holds a certification of Added Qualification in Geriatrics and Sports Medicine. Dr. Diamantoni is on the active staff at Lancaster General Hospital and courtesy staff at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Diamantoni has been the Lancaster County Coroner since 2008. He has also been committed to the community as Junior Achievement, Board of Directors from 1984 to 1986, on the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Board of Directors from 1994 to 2002, as American Heart Association Heart Walk Chairman in 2007 and The March of Dimes Chief Auction Chairman in 2008.  Partner Dr. Gerstein has been a Pennsylvania boy all his life. He attended Hazelton High School, Muhlenberg College and Pennsylvania State Medical School. Dr. Gerstein has hospital privileges at Lancaster General Hospital where he was Chairman of the Department of Family Practice from 2009 through 2011 and also at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He was initially board certified in Family Practice in 1989 and maintains current board certification. Dr. Gerstein enjoys studying the Bible and riding his bicycle with the Lancaster Bicycle Club. He considers himself a "car guy/gear head" having raced cars for 17 years.  Partner William Vollmar attended the University of Maryland in Baltimore County and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. He attended the Medical College of Virginia and received his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his residency with Lancaster General Hospital Family and Community Medicine. He joined the Diamantoni & Associates Family Practice team in 1992. Dr. Vollmar was board certified by the American Board of Sports Medicine in 1997 and in 2007. He was board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in 1992, 1997, and in 2005. He is an active member of AAFP, PAFP, ACSM, and AMSSM. Dr. Vollmar is active in Sports Medicine and is team physician for several Lancaster school systems and the Lancaster Barnstormers. He is also involved with sports medicine coverage for the PIAA and teaches sports medicine to medical students and residents.  Dr. Jeffrey Trost attended the University of Scranton and received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He attended Temple University for his Doctor of Medicine degree. He completed his residency at Lancaster General Hospital. He joined Diamantoni & Associates in 1994. Dr. Trost enjoys caring for patients of all ages. He feels it is an honor to be a part of so many peoples' lives and hopes to assist them in their journey. Dr. Trost has retired from rugby, but still enjoys exercise, hockey, and going to the beach with his wife and dogs.  Dr. Perlis attended Cornell University for her undergraduate studies. She attended SUNY Health Science Center and earned her Medical degree there. She performed her residency at Lancaster General Hospital and joined Diamantoni & Associates in 1997. Dr. Perlis is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Professional memberships include: the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Physicians, and the Christian Medical and Dental Associates.  Dr. Bodner attended Rutgers University for her undergraduate work. She attended Hahnemann University and did her Family Medicine Internship at Easton Virginia Medical School. Dr. Bodner performed her residency at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. After working at Winona Memorial Hospital, Lancaster General Hospital, and Reading Hospital and Medical Center, she became a part of the Diamantoni & Associates team in 1989.  Dr. Ankur Sadhukhan attended Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, New Jersey where he majored in chemical biology as part of a combined seven-year accelerated BS/MD program. He completed the program at the University of Medicine of New Jersey. He did his Family Medicine Residency at Highland Hospital, at the University of Rochester in New York. He joined Diamantoni & Associates Family Practice in 2000 where he practices a full scope of family medicine including adult medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, office surgeries, outpatient ambulatory medicine as well as inpatient hospital medicine. He enjoys shooting pool, cycling, and trying ethnic foods.  Dr. Madhumita Sadhukhan received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA. She then attended Hahneman University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA and graduated with her Medical Doctorate. Dr. Sadhukhan did her post graduate training at West Jersey Health System Family Practice in Voorhees, New Jersey from 1997-2000. Dr. Sadhukhan is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Pennsylvania Academy of Family Practice, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, the Lancaster County Medical Society, and the Physicians for Social Responsibility.  Dr. Charles attended Kingsborough College for her undergraduate work as a registered nurse. She attended City College of New York and received her Bachelor of Arts in biology. She attended Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine earning her medical degree. She attended and performed her residency at the University of Rochester Department of Medicine. She held many diverse positions at the University of Pittsburgh. She was part of the staff at Presbyterian Hospital, UPMC in Pittsburgh, and a physician at SouthEast Lancaster health service and joined Diamantoni & Associates in 2004.  Dr. Joyce Vafeas graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. She received a Master of Science, Medicinal Chemistry from Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1984. Dr. Vafeas graduated in 1988 from Temple University with a degree as Medicinal Doctor. From there she did her residency at Lancaster General Hospital Family and Community Medicine from 1988-1991. She worked for Eastbrook Family Health Center from 1991-2006. Dr. Vafeas joined Diamantoni and Associates Family Practice in 2007. She was Board certified in 1992, and recertified in 1997 and again in 2003. She is a member of American, Pennsylvania, and Lancaster County Academies of Family physician, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Lancaster City and County Medical Society, and the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.  Dr. Lloyd attended Elizabethtown College and received a Bachelor of Science majoring in biology. He attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of North Carolina. He became a part of the Diamantoni & Associates Family Practice team in 2007. He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He holds the State of Pennsylvania license as an osteopathic physician. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Association, and the American Academy of Family Physicians.  Adrian Hazbun, M.D. attended Yale University where he received a double Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biophysics, biochemistry, and organismal biology. He attended Temple University School of Medicine and graduated in 2002. He did his Family Medicine Internship and Family Medicine Residency at Ventura County Medical Center in Ventura, California, graduating in 2005. After travelling to Botswana, Uganda, and Tanzania where he took part in many types of humanitarian aid, he became a part of Diamantoni & Associates team in 2008. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.  Cynthia Brubaker received her registered nursing degree at St. Joseph Hospital, currently Lancaster Regional Hospital School of Nursing in Lancaster, PA. She then attended Pennsylvania State University Physician Assistant Program where she received an Associate Degree in Clinical Health Services. Cynthia is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and belongs to the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants. She joined Diamantoni & Associates in 2007.  A local graduate of Conestoga Valley High School, James received his undergraduate degree from the University of Richmond in Business Administration and Finance. After working various non-medical jobs, James eventually returned to Portland State University (Oregon) and finally Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania to earn his Masters in Health Science to become a certified Physician Assistant in 2006. He has been employed full-time with Diamantoni & Associates since. If he is not at home spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, you can probably find James somewhere golfing, fishing, skiing, camping, or enjoying live music. James enjoys caring for patients of all types. He strives to make sound medical advice that allows patients' to leave their appointments with a clear understanding of their medical conditions and treatment plans.  Michael Shipman earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Rutgers University. He attended the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and received his Certificate of Training as a Physician's Assistant. At the U.S. Air Force School of Health Sciences he earned his certification of training as a Medical Services Specialist and Medical Services Technician. Michael joined Diamantoni & Associates in 2008. |
